Sun City Resort & Pilanesberg National Park
This package includes 2 nights in the entertainment capital of South Africa, Sun City followed by 4 nights in a private lodge in the adjacent Pilanesberg National Park.
Sun City is the legendary creation of entrepreneur Sol Kerzer and began life as an apartheid era haven for wealthy whites but is now a mix of black, white & Asian people who come for a good time. The main attraction is the lavish casino’s and accompanying restaurants and bars but there is also a fabulous family entertainment complex called the Lost City with wave pools, a sandy beach, water slides and amusement park rides and also a number of great championship golf courses.
Pilanesberg National Park is a little known but exceptionally scenic home to not only the big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, Black Rhino) but most of the other impressive animals of Africa such as cheetah's, jackal's, hyenas, white rhinos, giraffes, hippos, zebras, wild dog and a wide selection of antelopes. The park is 500 sq km in size, malaria free and located in an extinct volcanic region with the beautiful Mankwe Lake the centre piece and the drinking hole for the parks wildlife.

Itinerary
Day 1
On arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met by your Wild Africa Travel Company representative and transferred to Sun City where you will check into your hotel room for your 2 night stay.
Day 2
A full day to enjoy all that the Sun City complex has to offer from golf at the world renowned Gary Player Country Club or equally impressive Lost City Golf Course to the fun of the Lost City theme park to trying your luck at one of the casino’s in the entertainment complex. Finish the day with a sumptuous meal and fine wine at one of its many restaurants.
Day 3 to 6
Check out of your Sun City hotel and you will be transferred to your game lodge in Pilanesberg National Park where you will spend the next 4 days relaxing in this pristine sanctuary. You will have the opportunity of experiencing the facilities of the lodge as well as daily game drives into the park to see its vast array of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, white & black rhinos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, zebras, wild dogs and a wide variety of antelopes.
Day 7
An early morning game drive into the park will be your last opportunity to experience this ancient volcanic area before you check out of your lodge and are transferred back to Johannesburg International Airport or your next destination on your African safari adventure.

Cabanas Hotel Sun City

A short stroll across the luscious green lawns of the Cabanas brings you to a World of Fun in the Sun – Waterworld. There’s jet-skiing, windsurfing, water-skiing and for those who want a leisurely booze-cruise, there’s a barge to take you around the lake at Sundowner time.

Bakubung Bush Lodge
Tucked in the expanses of the malaria free Pilanesberg National Park, Bakubung, or the people of Hippo, provides guests with the peace and tranquillity of a true bush experience coupled with true luxury and great service. The 76 air conditioned, thatched roof studio rooms and 66 chalets curve into a horse-shoe around the outside entertainment areas, huddling visitors in cosy intimacy.
All rooms have satellite TV, telephones, en-suite bathrooms, electric shaving plugs, coffee/tea and a hair dryer.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended for the Sun City Resort & Pilanesberg National Park to cover for irrecoverable prepaid travel costs incurred as a result of unforeseen circumstances. For example, if the passenger becomes unexpectedly ill and is unable to travel then the passenger will be able to recover the total costs of their Sun City Resort & Pilanesberg National Park package.
Please note every year Wild Africa Travel Company have passengers needing to cancel for many unforeseen reasons. Unfortunately Wild Africa Travel Company is helpless if the passenger has not taken out the appropriate travel insurance.
Travel Insurance is also very important for passengers on their travels as there can be situations where things may go wrong and travellers find themselves needing urgent medical assistance, help with replacing lost luggage, or assistance in making an urgent trip home. Travel insurance can provide coverage for these unforeseen circumstances and also provide peace of mind for the traveller.
