Itinerary
Day 1
On arrival at Port Elizabeth airport you will be met by your Wild Africa Travel Company representative and transferred to your Port Elizabeth hotel for your 2 night stay.
Day 2
Today you have the chance to explore Port Elizabeth and walk or laze on its pristine beaches before you will be collected from your hotel at 4pm for your guided cultural tour. This tour will be of the Port Elizabeth townships where you will get an insight into their daily lives. You will stop for dinner and drinks at a local shebeen where you will savour the local cuisine and the local hospitality. At the completion of the tour you will be dropped back at your hotel.
Day 3
Check out of your Port Elizabeth hotel and you will be transferred by road to your lodge in the Eastern Cape (80 minute drive to Kariega Private Game Reserve and 45 minute drive to Shamwari Private Game Reserve). Late afternoon you will taken on your first open vehicle game drive with your experienced guide searching for game as the sunsets before stopping for a sundowner & night game drive with high powered spotlight before returning to your lodge for a sumptuous bush boma dinner under the African stars.
Day 4 - 6
Your days can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you wish as you have the option of early morning and late afternoon/night game drives as well as daily bush walks with experienced guides through the park. Located on the Kariega River the standard package also includes water activities such as river cruises, fishing and canoeing. You can also relax and wile away your time in the comforts of your lodge with its reading room, safari deck, bar, restaurant and swimming pool. A perfect opportunity to have the ideal “Out of Africa’ experience.
Day 7
This morning you will embark on your final game drive in the park before checking out of your lodge and being transferred to Port Elizabeth airport.

Summerstrand Hotel Port Elizabeth
The hotel is perfectly nestled on the shores of Nelson Mandela Bay, between the warm Indian Ocean and the Humewood Links Golf Course. The hotel has 235 rooms - perfectly arranged with views of the beaches, golf course and private landscaped gardens.
The rooms are a large 30m² with balconies and they have 128 single rooms, 102 twin bedded rooms, 4 suites and 1 paraplegic room. Rooms are spacious exceeding 3 star standards including satellite TV, telephone, air-conditioning as well as tea/coffee making facilities.

The Courtyard Hotel Port Elizabeth
The Courtyard Hotel Port Elizabeth is situated on Marine Drive in the Boardwalk Casino and Resort complex, directly opposite the famed Humewood International Beach of the Eastern Cape. The hotel consists of 91 suites and studios some with sea facing views.
The hotel consists of either studio, one or two bedroom luxury rooms and all have well appointed bathrooms, unobtrusive fully equipped kitchenettes, electronic safe large enough to accommodate a laptop, international dial direct telephone, M-Net and selected DStv channels and air-conditioning.

Shamwari Private Game Reserve – Long Lee Manor
Shamwari Game Reserve is a 25 000 hectares (61 000 acres) malaria free private game reserve situated in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It has received numerous international awards, including the World's Leading Conservation Company and Game Reserve for five consecutive years. It is situated in verdant bush along the Bushmans River, halfway between Port Elizabeth (45 minutes drive outside the city) and Grahamstown. Long Lee Manor, originally built in 1910, offers a distinctive Colonial experience. This splendidly restored Edwardian Manor House offers guests refined comfort, congenial service and enticing cuisine in the African bush. Long Lee Manor accommodates 38 guests in elegant en-suite rooms, all with air-conditioning and heating, as well as family suites for the children.
Sumptuously prepared meals are enjoyed in the main dining room or around the open blazing fire at the Barn. Between game drives guests can laze around one of the two pools, relax in the beautifully appointed garden lounge, or experience a rejuvenating treatment in our spa.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is highly recommended for the Port Elizabeth & Eastern Cape Private Game Park to cover for irrecoverable prepaid travel costs incurred as a result of unforeseen circumstances. For example, if the passenger becomes unexpectedly ill and is unable to travel then the passenger will be able to recover the total costs of their Port Elizabeth & Eastern Cape Private Game Park package.
Please note every year Wild Africa Travel Company have passengers needing to cancel for many unforeseen reasons. Unfortunately Wild Africa Travel Company is helpless if the passenger has not taken out the appropriate travel insurance.
Travel Insurance is also very important for passengers on their travels as there can be situations where things may go wrong and travellers find themselves needing urgent medical assistance, help with replacing lost luggage, or assistance in making an urgent trip home. Travel insurance can provide coverage for these unforeseen circumstances and also provide peace of mind for the traveller.
