Sun City Resort

This package includes 3 nights in the entertainment capital of South Africa , Sun City and includes a morning guided game drive in the adjacent Pilanesberg National Park.

Sun City is the legendary creation of entrepreneur Sol Kerzer and began life as an apartheid era haven for wealthy whites but is now a mix of black, white & Asian people who come for a good time. The main attraction is the lavish casino's and accompanying restaurants and bars but there is also a fabulous family entertainment complex called the Lost City with wave pools, a sandy beach, water slides and amusement park rides and also a number of great championship golf courses.

Itinerary 

Day 1
You will be met in Johannesburg and transferred to Sun City where you will check into your Sun City hotel for your 3 night stay.

Day 2
A full day to enjoy all that the Sun City complex has to offer from golf at the world renowned Gary Player Country Club or equally impressive Lost City Golf Course to the fun of the Lost City theme park to trying your luck at one of the casino's in the entertainment complex. Finish the day with a sumptuous meal and fine wine at one of its many restaurants.

Day 3 
An early rise this morning as you are collected by 4 x 4 open vehicles for your guided game drive into Pilanesberg National Park where you will have the chance to see its vast array of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, white & black rhinos, elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, zebras, wild dogs and a wide variety of antelopes. At the completion of the game drive you will be dropped back at your hotel.

Day 4
A final chance to relax in the wonderful surrounds of the resort before you are collected and transferred back to Johannesburg.

Cabanas Hotel Sun City
The refreshing, laid back ambience of the Cabanas at Sun City is the immediate impression one receives upon welcome. The most relaxed and casual of all the hotels at Sun City, the Cabanas offer informal yet comfortable accommodation.

Sun City Cabanas offer three dining choices– the chefs excel at creating imaginative theme style buffets at the Palm Terrace and everyday a full breakfast buffet and dinner buffet is offered. Tender and juicy grills are available at the famous Butchers Grill and light daytime fare is served at the Grande Pool Bar. 

Sun City has even provided for the youngest members of your family – Kamp Kwena, a specially designed entertainment paradise for kids of all ages. A fully supervised programme of activities and facilities at Kwena’s Castle, right on the lawns of the Cabanas: adventure playground, animal farmyard and fully equipped play centre.

A short stroll across the luscious green lawns of the Cabanas brings you to a World of Fun in the Sun – Waterworld. There’s jet-skiing, windsurfing, water-skiing and for those who want a leisurely booze-cruise, there’s a barge to take you around the lake at Sundowner time.

The Sun City Hotel is the heart of the Sun City Resort. The ambience of the Hotel is one of glamour and sophistication. From the moment you enter the foyer your senses are assaulted by the bold design aspects and dramatic setting.  The central area has been transformed into a jungle of lush foliage, cascading water and life-like boulders, encircling fast moving slot machines.

The hotel's view comprises a magnificent landscape of subtropical gardens and a sparkling swimming pool. It has a total of 340 rooms, which either face the Gary Player Golf Course or pool area, with gardens stretching down to Sun City's exciting Waterworld.

This hotel Course is abundant in restaurants to fit any desire. If your taste tends towards the more piquant, then the Orchid Restaurant will sate even the most jaded taste buds. Traditional Asian cuisine ranging from Jasmine smoked duck served in pancakes with a sweet bean sauce to Malaysian spiced Chicken breasts. The Thai, Ka Ti ice cream is a taste sensation as is the layered Panda Lapis Cake.

For traditional South African cuisine, the Calabash Restaurant will welcome you in true African style. The groaning buffet offers boboetjie, curries, carvery and steamed vegetables, followed by sinful trifles and tipsy tarts. The Calabash is where sensational tastes from the North and South meet.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is highly recommended for the Sun City Resort to cover for irrecoverable prepaid travel costs incurred as a result of unforeseen circumstances. For example, if the passenger becomes unexpectedly ill and is unable to travel then the passenger will be able to recover the total costs of their Sun City Resort package.

Please note every year Wild Africa Travel Company have passengers needing to cancel for many unforeseen reasons. Unfortunately Wild Africa Travel Company is helpless if the passenger has not taken out the appropriate travel insurance.

Travel Insurance is also very important for passengers on their travels as there can be situations where things may go wrong and travellers find themselves needing urgent medical assistance, help with replacing lost luggage, or assistance in making an urgent trip home. Travel insurance can provide coverage for these unforeseen circumstances and also provide peace of mind for the traveller.
