Johannesburg is set to join Cape Town as the second city in South Africa to have the world renowned hop-on, hop-off buses according to the Gauteng Economic Development Department.
Dawn Roberston, CEO of the Gauteng Tourism Authority announced the plans to implement the buses in January 2013 which will allow tourists to explore the city & its rich history in a safe & comfortable environment & add to South Africa‘s travel options. The buses which operate in over 100 countries around the world will provide commentary in 17 languages.
“We are very excited about the new hop-on, hop-off buses, which are sure to become a premier tourism experience in Johannesburg, and in future we are looking at bringing the buses to Pretoria too,” said Dawn Robertson
