On 25 July the 6th annual ‘Keep Kruger Clean Campaign’ was conducted in Kruger National Park under the theme of collectively striving for a clean Kruger and healthy environment. The campaign’s main objective is to educate the public & create awareness of the dangers to the environment from littering.
This year saw the launch of the ‘Keep Kruger Clean Campaign’ mascot Vukani the Vulture. Lucy Nhlapo, KNP HOD Tourism and Marketing said “We hope the mascot will assist in keeping the Kruger National Park clean by influencing people to change their behaviour about littering in the park.”
“We want to involve communities, staff, business associates and society at large to help us keep Kruger National Park clean.”
