Day visitors to Kruger National Park are advised to make prior bookings as gate quotas will apply over the 2011 festive season.
“The gate quotas are mostly reached on long weekends and public holidays. They vary from gate to gate and also depend on how fully booked the park is. If anyone is planning a visit on those days, it is recommended that they either arrive at the gate very early in the morning as the service is on a first come, first served basis, or pre-book their entrance via Central Reservations on +27 (0)12 428 9111,” explained the Kruger National Park‘s head of Public Relations, William Mabasa.
There will be a deposit of R28 per adult and R16 per child for day visitors who pre-book their visit which will secure their space for entry into the park.
In order to ensure efficiency at the gates, various field and honorary rangers will be deployed to assist gate staff with managing the queues and as well as the other different services available at the gates.
The Kruger National Park has 10 entrance gates with each gate having different quota levels.
