The head of Kruger National Park, Abe Sibiya is very concerned about external & unrelated parties falsely representing Kruger National Park on various aspects of its business. He has urged members of the public and people in the business community to report this type of behaviour.
“It has come to our attention that there are online forums operating and claiming to represent the South African National Parks (SANParks), in particular the Kruger National Park, by offering customer care facilities that discuss conservation and tourism-related matters for guests. We would like to put it on record that SANParks already has its own established formal procedures and channels for handling guest feedback and does not need a third party to deal with issues on its behalf,” he said.
These parties claim to raise money for conservation projects within Kruger National Park and take donations from the general public. This is fraudulent activity and Mr Sibiya said everyone should check the credentials of person/s who claim to be raising funds for Kruger National Park conservation projects before donating funds to them.
