This Zimbabwe tour consists of 3 nights in the historic town of Victoria Falls named after the falls which were first seen by Dr David Livingstone in 1855 and named it so after the queen of England and a 3 night Hwange National Park safari.
Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders) in the local Kololo language is aptly described as one of the seven natural wonders of the world and a must see for any visitor to southern Africa. Located on the mighty Zambezi River the falls are 1.7km wide and 108 metres high and has an annual average flow of one million litres per second.
The Victoria Falls tour component includes a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River and a 3 hour game drive. There is also an abundance of other activities you can book including walk with the lions, elephant back safaris, white water rafting, river cruises, helicopter rides, bungee jumping, jet boating, hiking, canoeing and fishing. Hwange National Park is 14,650 sq km in size and is the largest Park in Zimbabwe and is named after a local Nhanzwa chief. It is located in the northwest corner of Zimbabwe and is about an hour south of the Victoria Falls. Hwange boasts a huge selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and 400 species of birds. The elephants of Hwange are world famous and the elephant population is one of the largest in the world. Your Hwange National Park safari includes daily game drives in the park with experienced guides.

Day 1 – Arrive Victoria Falls
On arrival at Victoria Falls airport you will be met by your Wild Africa Travel Company representative and transferred to your Victoria Falls hotel for your 3 night stay. Both hotels are only a short walk to the falls and you have the chance to spend time witnessing its power.
Day 2 – Victoria Falls
This morning you will be fee to explore Victoria falls and the surrounding area. In the late afternoon you will be taken on a sunset cruise of the Zambezi River which is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River. Clients may have the opportunity to see a variety of game; including hippo, crocodile, elephant as well as enjoy the many different bird species. The Sunset cruise is very popular and includes finger snacks, beer, wine, local spirits and soft drinks. There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets.
Day 3 – Victoria Falls
Today is free to explore the falls or take in one of the many optional tours in the area including games drives, guide tour of the falls, lion walk or even a scenic helicopter flight over the falls.
Day 4 – Victoria Falls to Hwange National Park
Your final opportunity to see the falls before checking out of your hotel and being transferred to your Hwange National Park accommodation for your 3 night stay.
Day 5 & 6 – Hwange National Park
Your days can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you wish as you have the option of early morning and late afternoon game drives with experienced guides through the park. You can also relax and wile away your time in the comforts of your accommodation.
Day 7 – Hwange National Park to Victoria Falls and depart
After an early morning game drive check out of your accommodation and you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport and your flight to your next destination.
