You will depart the highveld from Johannesburg and travel through some spectacular countryside to the lowveld and one of the most famous wildlife reserves on the planet, Kruger National Park. Here you will have the opportunity to experience a Kruger safari with open vehicle game drives in the park with experienced rangers.
This South Africa tour then takes you south through Swaziland and into the province of Kwazulu Natal, home to the once feared Zulu warriors. You will visit a traditional Zulu village and also enjoy open vehicle game drives in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park. You will then travel to Durban which with its long white sand beachfront, stylish cafes, lively nightlife, good shopping and cultural attractions is the summer holiday capital of South Africa.

Day 1 – Arrive Johannesburg
On Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met by your Wild Africa Travel Company representative and transferred to your hotel where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2 – Johannesburg to Mpumalanga
An early departure from Johannesburg, travelling eastward toward the famous Blyde River (Happy River) Canyon.
± 15 km after Witbank (Middelburg) we have our first stop. Continue, and turn off the national road at Belfast, passing through the town which is famous for its sheep & trout farming. We pass through the little village of Dullstroom and travel towards Lydenburg, stopping here for lunch (optional and for own account).
Depart Lydenburg for the Three Rondawels for a scenic stop then travel onto the Three Rondawels – South Africa’s 2nd most photographed natural phenomenon after Table Mountain. Then onto God’s Window travelling through Eucalyptus and Pine plantations. Arriving at God’s Window for a view of the edge of the escarpment taking in the Kruger National Park and the huge plantations of the so-called Lowveld. Continue towards Graskop, starting our descent of the plateau.
Arrive in Hazyview for your overnight stay. (Breakfast)
Day 3 – Kruger National Park
This morning you will be transferred into Kruger National Park for an early morning game drive in your tour vehicle. A packed breakfast will be enjoyed at a lovely spot in the park before completing the game drive and arriving back at your hotel for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure and you may want to undertake an open vehicle night game drive (optional and on own account) (Breakfast)
Day 4 – Kruger National Park
You will be woken before sunrise for an early morning game drive in open 4 x 4 vehicles with experienced rangers which will include breakfast in the park. You will arrive back at your hotel in time for lunch. After lunch you may wish to embark on a late afternoon or evening game drive in Kruger National Park which will be on your own account or relax in the comfortable surrounds of your hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 5 – Mpumalanga to Swaziland
After breakfast you will travel to the Kingdom of Swaziland, one of the three remaining monarchs in Africa which amazingly withstood advances from the Boers, British and Zulu’s. (Breakfast)
Day 6 – Swaziland to Zululand
After breakfast you will depart Swaziland and re-enter South Africa and the province of Kwazulu-Natal and travel to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park for an afternoon game drive in open 4 x 4 vehicles with experienced rangers. At the completion of the game drive you will be transferred to your hotel located close by. (Breakfast)
Day 7 – Zululand to Durban
This morning after breakfast you will be taken to a traditional Zulu village for lunch and a cultural show presented by the local village people. We arrive at Dumazulu/Vula Zulu/Shakaland for a presentation of Zulu culture, dancing and lunch (included). Depart the Cultural Village and continue towards Durban. En route we pass traditional Zulu kraals, Eucalyptus plantations and sugar cane fields. Optional (time permitting) stop in Umhlanga Rocks en-route to Durban. (Breakfast & lunch)
Day 8 – Depart Durban
Today after breakfast you will check out of your hotel and proceed to your next travel destination. (Breakfast)
